ABOUT ASAP
Art South Asia Project (ASAP) is a UK-based, non-profit arts education and development platform, established in 2021. We support the infrastructure of modern and contemporary visual and applied arts in South Asia by facilitating and expanding regional and international networks of collaboration and research. ASAP fosters regional partnerships between the countries of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Working between South Asia and the UK, we offer grants and create opportunities for engagement through collaborative programmes focused on research, archiving, and publications. We also promote professional development through workshops, talks, symposia, and fellowships, highlighting the narratives and histories of South Asian art.

We are looking to hire a Part-Time Programme Manager from July 2026 – July 2027, working 3 days per week (24 hours a week). The salary will be £16,800 per annum.
The potential candidate will have a keen interest in learning more about the art education and development sector and must have three to five years of experience within the arts field, preferably in South Asia and/or the UK. The candidate must be highly organised, possess strong administrative skills, and be proficient in MS Office Suite and Canva, with a high aptitude for writing. Familiarity with Adobe Suite and social media writing styles is desirable. Most importantly, the candidate should be passionate about and committed to ASAP’s mission.
ASAP is seeking someone who will actively seek out new projects, attend external events such as museum and gallery openings, conferences, and networking events, and proactively meet new partners in the UK and internationally to act as an ambassador for the organisation. The candidate must be eligible to work in the UK and be available for international travel.
As Programme Manager, the candidate will work alongside the Executive Director on duties such as writing reports, preparing presentations for Patrons, Founding Advisory Board members, and other partners, and representing ASAP externally. The role also involves project support, which will eventually develop into project leadership, as well as contributing new ideas that align with ASAP’s mission and objectives, helping to shape the organisation’s growth over the coming years.
Main Responsibilities
Programmes

Actively researching projects, programmes and partners in South Asia and the UK

Actively identifying and attending events relating to modern and contemporary South Asian art in the UK and internationally

Researching and sourcing relevant events for inclusion in ASAP newsletters and communications

Working with the Executive Director on the Art Murmur series by creating talk series and moderating discussions each month
-
Working with the Executive Director to actively explore market and field research for ASAP

Leading on smaller partnerships for ASAP with the guidance of the Executive Director

Acting as an ambassador at professional events to increase the profile of the organisation through attending and speaking at events, and networking with artists, art institutions, curators and other art professionals

Working with the Executive Director on ASAP Papers by writing texts on programmes and commissioning texts from programme and grant partners

Maintaining a database of projects, programmes and partnerships for ASAP on Google Drive
Development Support

Working with the Executive Director to create and edit documents and presentations for ASAP

Assisting with the preparation of patron and funding documents, including reports, proposals and presentations

Assisting in report writing and minute taking for Founding Advisory Board, Patron meetings and other meetings at ASAP

Creating impact documents for ASAP projects and programmes

Assisting with gathering data from the website and social media for reports
Website & Social Media

Overseeing maintenance of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn)

Maintaining website content (Zoom webinars, informational lists, etc.)

Working directly with the Web Developer to ensure updated content and format of the website

Ensuring that the ASAP Library is updated

Working with the Executive Director on marketing and promotion for ASAP

Writing Newsletters and other marketing documents with the Executive Director

Creating Social Media posts on Canva and Adobe Suite

Overseeing the sending of mailouts including invitations, requests for feedback, notices to relevant mailing lists, and notifications of new resources added to the website
