PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Professional Development division at ASAP offers grants to institutions seeking to develop educational programme and workshops as well as to individuals who wish to develop or learn the skills of production, administration, and management within the arts
- The proposed initiatives must be designed to help expand the expertise of curators, art managers, and administrators in the field of modern and contemporary fine and applied South Asian arts
- The proposed programme should endeavor to build rooted practices for South Asian art professionals that can be shared widely in the region
Our approach for this division differs from the others as we are also looking to expand our understanding of what is needed for skill development and training through feedback from art professionals in South Asia and the diaspora
Due to the restrictions of COVID19, we will only be able to provide funding for this division via digital programming. We hope to open this category when larger in-person workshops and events are safer for the public.
